Alexa Schulte, StaleyNews Editor-in-Chief

Alexa is a senior this year and it is her second year on Magazine staff and the N2 Sports staff. She is also the Interact Club President, Beta Vice President, and the DECA Vice President. She also participates in French club, National Honors Society, Future Business Leaders of America, and has played four years on the Staley tennis team. She loves to travel and to play tennis. Her three favorite things are Coca- Cola, Cheez-its and all things Disney. Her favorite thing about being on staff is getting to learn new things to help grow her skills as a journalist.

Prepping his appetizer dish of scallops wrapped in bacon with pomegranate sauce Nov. 15, is senior Cam Tate who is in his first year on the competition team. The Prostart competition team was practicing and perfecting their recipes that they will later use at state competition in the spring. "I love my teammates very much, and they are extremely supportive whenever I'm learning something new or coming up with ideas with them so that we can het first place at state this year," said Tate.

After winning third place as a team at cross country state Nov. 3, runners juniors Murphy Corum, Nathan Nguyen, senior Preston Wheeler, juniors Luke Winkler, Jack Warner, Collin Riggins, sophomores Dawson Walker and Drew Sallman stand while wearing their new medals. This was the first time since 1983 that a North Kansas City School District school made it to the podium at state. "It felt great to be up there with all the guys. We had worked all year for that moment and we all did our part to make it possible," said Winkler.
