Boys Wrestling Team Earns 3rd At State

2024 Boys State Wrestling Team: Kamaha’o Grace, Tyler Bower, Merrik Murray, Sage Wilson, Gunner Dahms, Parker Leverknight, Zayne Reynolds, Miller Sipes, David Gleason

Nine members of the boys wrestling team headed to state wrestling Friday. The state team consisted of senior Tyler Bower, juniors Parker Leverknight, Gunner Dahms, Zayne Reynolds, David Gleason, Merrik Murray, Sage Wilson, Kamaha’o Grace and sophomore Miller Sipes. Returning for day two were Dahms, Reynolds, Gleason, Murray, Wilson, Grace and Sipes.

The team finished third out of 56 teams with seven state placers, including a state champion.

INDIVIDUAL MEDALISTS:
State Champ: David Gleason, 11 (144 pounds)
2nd Place: Miller Sipes, 10 (132 pounds)
3rd Place: Zayne Reynolds, 11 (126 pounds)
4th place: Gunner Dahms, 11 (106 pounds)
5th place: Merrik Murray, 11 (157 pounds)
5th place: Kamaha’o Grace, 11 (285 pounds)
6th place: Sage Wilson, 11 (175 pounds)
