Scholarship Deadlines Creep Up

With the second semester rolling around seniors are beginning to wrap up their scholarship applications.

“Now until the end of April is a prime time for scholarship applications,” said counselor Robert Lundien.

The Staley website has a link to scholarships. The link has three different categories: local scholarships, college scholarships and national scholarships.  Within those categories there are links to sites such as FastWeb.com, which helps people find scholarships that would apply to them.

“Some of the deadlines sneak up on you because you are focusing on other things,” said senior Diante Graves.

A tip that Lundien was to apple for small scholarships as well because they all add up.

“You just have to take 30 minutes out of your day to get every thing together,” said senior Jake Gibson.

Staley has its own SOAR scholarship that will be announced at the spring senior meeting.
