Ten members of the Staley News journalism team traveled to New York City in March for the Columbia Scholastic Press Association spring convention. They earned a Silver Crown Award for digital media for the StaleyNews.com website.
Outside of the journalism convention, they stayed at Paramount Hotel on Times Square and visited the Statue of Liberty, the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, Rockefeller Center, The Empire State Building, Ella’s Stardust Cafe, The American Museum of Natural History, Hard Rock Cafe and saw two Broadway musicals — “Wicked” and “The Lion King.”
