My name is Paxton Donaldson and I’m a sophomore. This is my first year on staff. Outside of journalism I’m apart of student council, play softball and basketball. I enjoy hanging out with friends and going to school sporting events. I am excited to bring stories to the student body.

Running the 4x8, sophomore Alex Hamre gets ready to hand the baton off as she runs her last lap where on March 20. Hamre trained hard and ran in every varsity meet in order to reach her goal of breaking the 3200-meter record. “I would do around two hard workouts a week to help me train for it, and I had coach Adair help me by yelling out my splits each 400 to tell me whether I was on pace or not,” said Hamre.

In preparation for homecoming, principal Larry Smith claps at the homecoming pep rally Oct. 20. Smith tried to attend as many extracurricular events and get involved with the school as much as possible. “Just being a part of the Staley family is what I’m looking forward to the most,” said Smith.
