Varsity Baseball Places Fourth At State

For the first time in the school’s history, the varsity baseball team made it to state. They won more games than ever before.

“I am very excited about our season,” said coach David Wilson.

The team won the district championship on May 14, defeating Park Hill High School with a score of 17-6, advanced on to sectionals, and then went on to state.

“This is a great moment for all of us,” said senior Brian Regan.

Their winning streak ended with their loss to Francis Howell in their final game. The score was 6-9, putting the boys in fourth place in the state.

“I am very proud of how far we’ve come,” said senior Zachary Stonecipher.
