Two senior boys run through the Great Hall during the senior class prank May 15. Coach Jeremy Hays grabbed one of their backpacks.

On the class of 2013’s last day of high school, May 15, they pulled their senior prank. Several senior boys dressed up as butterflies and ran through the Great Hall throwing water balloons during Falcon Hour.

“I don’t think it was a proper way to celebrate graduation,” said coach Jeremy Hays who grabbed a backpack from one of the boys during the prank.

Senior pranks are a tradition. The class of 2012 released chickens into the Great Hall before school started, and they also parked crooked in the student lot. The class of 2011 dressed as Mario Kart and ran through the school.

When senior Drew Tse was asked if he would remember the water balloon prank forever he said, “It depends on if other people remember it.”

According to Tse, senior Daniel Gibson came up with the whole idea of the prank.

Gibson and a few other boys involved in the prank were ordered to do community service May 16 and May 17.

“It was definitely worth it,” said Gibson as he cleaned the Great Hall after Falcon Hour May 17.
