Love At First Sip: Reviewing Featured Drinks At 7Brew
Roses are red, violets are blue, 7brew February featured drinks might be for you. Want coffee? Energy? Soda? Or maybe a hot chocolate? Well February offered any of these! Reading this after February? I’ve got you. I will tell you what you need to make that drink
My friend and I stopped at 7 brew and ordered the whole February featured drink menu which consisted of five drinks. We ordered all of them in smalls. The workers were patient, sweet and very helpful. We got our drinks fast, and the wait was super quick. The prices may vary at different locations.
We first tried Raspberry Truffle Macchiato. The price was $4.70 for a small. It was a smooth iced expresso with milk, white chocolate sauce, and raspberry syrup. It is a pink milk base with espresso at the top. I was looking forward to seeing the cute pink color but unfortunately, I noticed it was already mixed at the window when they were bringing it out, so it was already a light brown color. This macchiato was a balance of sweet and a little bitter. The raspberry taste was hard to notice but I would give this Raspberry Truffle Macchiato a 7/10.
The second one we tried was Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Cold Brew. A small costs $4.60. This was an iced cold brew that had strawberry and dark chocolate flavoring. It was supposed to look red but again at the window it was already mixed, and it was a very dark brown color. I did not like this drink at all because I thought it was very bitter and tasted like straight coffee. I did not taste any sweet strawberry and had a bitter dark chocolate taste. A coffee lover could like this drink if they don’t like sweet coffee I would give this Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Cold Brew a 2/10.
The third drink we had was Love Potion 7 Energy. The price for a small was $5.30. This one is a strawberry, kiwi, and passion fruit syrups in their signature 7 Energy. I liked this drink a lot and it had a lot of passion fruit flavor. This drink was very see through compared to the picture, but it was a cool color. I really liked it, I would give this Love Potion 7 energy a 9/10.
The fourth drink was Pink Mermaid 7 Fizz Soda. I got a small, and it was $3.10. Pink Mermaid soda is their crisp 7 Fizz Soda with strawberry, watermelon, and coconut syrups. I would order this drink again because it was a super cute pink color with a good flavor. This drink has a strong watermelon and strawberry taste, but the coconut taste was very light. I would give this Pink Mermaid drink a 9/10.
The last drink we tried was Cupid’s Special Cocoa. The price for this drink was $3.10 for a small. It is a toasted marshmallow and white chocolate hot chocolate. This was my favorite drink because it was extremely creamy and a sweet, rich flavor. The toasted marshmallow stood out to me and had a good balance of toasted taste and a sweet chocolate taste. I normally don’t reach for a hot chocolate, but I would order this again. I would give this hot chocolate a 10/10.
Overall, I rated the February featured menu a 7/10 because most of the drinks were good, but the coffee drinks were too bitter. The fruity drinks and hot chocolate were the best looking and tasting drinks. Some of the drinks didn’t match the photos because they were mixed before we could see the layers. This menu is a good choice for people who like sweet, fruity drinks.
Do you think that a drive-thru coffee shop can pull off 5 Valentine’s-themed drinks without them all tasting the same? We wanted to find out.
When we pulled up to 7 Brew, the vibe was already promising, there was loud music, friendly workers and a busy line of cars. So, we decided to put their February featured drinks to the test and try all five.
7Brew in Gladstone is a drive-thru drink stand that has a wide variety of drinks like coffee, smoothies, energy drinks, lemonade and more. They have a small menu every month with featured drinks that usually align with the season or holiday of that month.
The February menu had a theme of pink and red for Valentine’s Day. The drinks also had Valentine’s-themed names. There were two coffee drinks, an energy drink, hot chocolate, and a fizz soda drink.
We went to 7Brew to try all the featured drinks. We went through the drive-thru because there is not an inside. The employee came up to our car and took our order. We ordered one of each of the featured drinks and tried them.
The first drink we tried was the Raspberry Truffle Macchiato. It’s an iced macchiato with raspberry and white chocolate flavor. I think it tasted amazing because I like coffee a lot, but the raspberry was a little underwhelming. The picture on the menu showed that the drink would be pink on the bottom, but it was already mixed together, so we didn’t get to see that. I rated this one a 7/10, I would recommend it to someone who likes their coffee sweet.
The second drink we tried was the Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Cold Brew. It’s a cold brew with dark chocolate and strawberry flavorings. I did not like this one. It tasted plain and bitter because there was no milk or creamer. The flavoring was very faint in comparison to how strong the coffee tasted. I rated this one a 3/10. I would not recommend this unless you enjoy black coffee.
The third drink we tried was the Love Potion 7Energy. It’s an energy drink with strawberry, kiwi and passion fruit flavorings. It looked really pretty it was a light pink color. I enjoyed this one because I like the fruity energy drinks. The passion fruit was overpowering but other than that, the flavors went well together. I rated this one a 9/10 and would definitely recommend it.
The fourth drink we tried was the Pink Mermaid 7Fizz Soda. It was a sparkling water base with strawberry, watermelon and coconut. It also looked really pretty it was darker pink. This one was tart and fruity. I would rate this one an 8/10 just because I don’t enjoy watermelon flavored stuff as much as other flavors.
The final drink that we had was Cupid’s Cocoa. It was hot chocolate with toasted marshmallow and white chocolate flavor. This was very sweet, but in a good way. It tasted very rich and creamy. I rated this a 10/10 for hot chocolate. I would recommend.
Overall, I think this Valentine’s menu was really good and there was very good selection. Anyone could come and find something they would like. Although it’s not February anymore you can still order these drinks.
