With competition season starting, the Millennium Falcons robotics team has been building their new robot. Their first competition will be the 2024 Crescendo March 13-16.

This new robot will be made to launch or place 14-inch orange foam donuts into a multipole goal system and climb a chain. The team has been working on the new robot for six weeks during the competition’s building season.

“As a team we have to build the robot from the ground up,” team president senior Luke Freyermuth said.

The team has been working hard until 6 p.m. each evening and have made most of the parts from scratch.

“I’m super proud of the progress they are making,” teacher Aaron Dalton said in an email.

As of now, the robot does not have a name. Freyermuth said the team will name the robot when it is completed.
