Freshmen Schedule Brings Mixed Opinions

This school year has been very different for the freshmen students and teachers. Instead of having all block classes, they have two block classes and all three core classes every day.

“I think the new schedule has worked out very well,” said assistant principal, Dr. Chad Brinton. “It seems to me that the teachers like it.”

While some teachers said they like the new schedule, some students are not happy about it. Freshman Sophie Davies had a strong opinion on the subject.

“I personally don’t like the new schedule because it makes the freshmen feel more out of place then we already do. Also, I get so much homework and never have time to do it all because I have that class the next day.  It’s just very stressful for me,” Davies said.

Freshmen Izzi Esteban said he does not like the new schedule either.

“I feel that it should not have been changed because when it was all block classes we had time for more homework,” said Esteban. “There was more learning involved in the one hour and 30 minutes, and I got a lot more work done.”
