Ellia Mytsa

Ellia Mytsa, Copy Editor

Ellia Mytsa is a senior who aspires to be a lawyer. This is her second year on staff at Staley, but she previously worked on the newspaper staff at Woodgrove High School. Her favorite subject in school is math. Mytsa’s interest in journalism and writing stems from her love for reading and songwriting. This year, she is in Chamber Choir and Chorale at Staley. She also plays the piano and guitar and teaches ukulele. She enjoys buying clothes sustainably in her free time and loves to thrift. She enjoys running and playing tennis. In the future, she hopes to work with victims of assault and abuse and represent them in court.

After traveling to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, for the MCCA State Competition Dec. 9, varsity cheer placed second in the coed small division. It was their second season in a row with a new coach, and they were happy with their performance and placement. “Coming off of a year where we had a complete change of coaches, we did the best we could with the situation, and we did even better than we expected,” sophmore Jillian Burks said.
