Students Celebrate At Home Game

Before the varsity football game against Blue Springs High School Sept. 10, The Flock had a paint war and a tailgate party. It was the second home football game of the season. The student section theme of the game was paint wars, and that’s what the students did at The Pavilion.

Taking the paint Sept. 10 at the paint war, sophomores Bryan Richards and Jakob Zahabi participate at The Pavilion. When the painting started, Richards joined in too. “I was feeling pretty happy because I was with my friends, and I was having a good time,” Richards said.

Getting covered with paint during the paint war, senior Brenna Schuett is smiling. When people started to throw paint at each other, she joined in. “I was feeling very happy to be surrounded by everyone and just having a bunch of fun,” Schuett said. “I’m very introverted. I don’t know a lot of people, but everyone was throwing paint at each other, whether we knew each other or not, so that was fun.”

Basking in the paint at the paint war, junior Joe Smith and freshmen Karsen Schwartz and Gage Adkins paint each other as it ends. “I was just having a good time, and I was just excited to be a part of everything,” Smith said.

Finishing his stunt, sophomore Gavin Moeckel cheers at the football game. When the cheerleading team started practice, so did he. “I was excited for the game and excited to be flying,” Moeckel said. “It was exciting to watch and cheer for the game.”

Chanting at the crowd during the varsity football game, junior Kyran Fish and the cheerleading squad is hyping up the crowd before the game against Blue Springs High School. “I was feeling happy because we were doing the ‘I Believe That We Will Win’ chant, and I felt like we were going to win,” Fish said.

Waiting for the play during the varsity football game, junior Zach Berg is waiting on the play from senior Winston Moore. With a score of 0-33, Berg is anticipating the next move Moore will do with his offensive line. After the game the final score was 7-39
