From Staley To Community
November 19, 2013
The blood drive was back on October 30th, and students, as well as teachers were eager to give.
“About 87 donations have been given. There’d be more, but some students left their license in their car or forgot a parent signature on their sheet,” said Andrea Holmes, a biology teacher, who volunteered at the blood drive.
Bryce Ruoff, a sophomore who donated blood, said “It was pretty cool even though it was my first time. I’m definitely going to do it next year.”
“This is all about giving back to the community. The blood goes local, and the leadership class working the blood drive is amazing,” said Holmes.
“I really just wanted to give back, you know? And that’s why I’m going to continue giving back in years to come,” said Ruoff.
Staley is helping to save lives, one bag at a time.
