Support Yarl In His Recovery

Allie Misenhelter

As part of the Falcon Brigade, junior Ralph Yarl plays the saxophone at the Winter Concert Dec. 6 in the Performing Arts Center.

On Thursday, while going to pick up his siblings, junior Ralph Yarl went to the wrong address by mistake and was shot after ringing the doorbell. He is now home recovering, and his family wants the shooter arrested and charged. A protest was held Sunday afternoon in front of the house where the shooting took place.

Yarl’s aunt has been speaking for the family on social media @ahealthymixture on Instagram, advocating for awareness of the situation. She also has hosted a GoFundMe. Some are using the hashtags #ralphyarl and #justiceforralphyarl to spread awareness of the issue.

Tomorrow, April 18, @staleybsu is hosting a Unity Walk for current Staley High School students and Staff. This event is for current staff and students to show support for junior Ralph Yarl. The BSU students request that everyone wear Staley High School/Falcon gear tomorrow!
