McKenna Armstrong

McKenna Armstrong, Photographer, Social Media Manager

McKenna Armstrong is a senior and has been involved with journalism for all four years of high school. She has been on yearbook staff for three years and plans to attend Maple Woods Community College in the fall. She participates in the Early College Academy program and would like to further her education in communications and journalism.

Her love for journalism started because of yearbook and doing intro classes her freshman year as well as learning photography in middle school.

Armstrong has worked with Gallery Portraiture Inc. as a sales associate and crew member helping with photography for youth sports for several years as a seasonal job. Her other job is with What Matters Weddings as an assistant coordinator. When she is not busy with college or taking photos and writing for yearbook, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and going out to explore new places.

Soon, she hopes to graduate from Maple Woods with an associate in arts degree and continue her education at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO.

Armstrong aspires to travel and learn about other cultures while telling the stories of others and what they add to the world through experience in any way, shape, or form. She loves to write and photograph events, people, and more.
