Maliyah Runnels

Maliyah Runnels, Reporter/ Photographer

Maliyah Runnels is a senior and has been involved with journalism for two years of high school. She is also involved in the yearbook this year and plans to attend Maple Woods Community College in the fall. Her love for photography started when she was younger, and then she took the intro classes her sophomore year.

In her free time, Runnels loves sports such as Basketball, Softball, and Soccer. Although she enjoys those sports, soccer is her true passion. She has played soccer for 15 years and continues to play. She played for the Staley Girls’ soccer team in her sophomore and junior years. She also enjoys taking photos for fun.

Runnels is working towards her CCMA and plans to use that at North Kansas City Hospital. In the future, she hopes to become involved in sports medicine and pursue her passions for photography and sports marketing.
