I wanted to be a waitress.

I want to go to college and do something in art and engineering.

My best friend because she’s never afraid to try something new.

Mrs. Cox. She has been my teacher every year and has been a great help to me with my art.

I am a member of the Falcon Brigade and Diamonds (4 years), a member of the musical’s pit orchestra (2 years). Outside of school I am a member of the Northland Youth Symphony (1 Year) and a member of Honor Band (1 year).
What is one thing you would tell your freshman self?
Have Some confidence, get your work done on time, and trust in God. That’s all it takes.
What is your biggest flex?
I have done gymnastics for 13 years and placed 4th and 7th nationwide.
What is the best thing you’ve checked off your bucket list?
I’ve visited the Grand Canyon (and almost fell in :D).
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a biologist. I loved nature.
What are your plans after graduating high school?
I plan to pursue a degree in music performance, find my way into a good symphony and teach lessons on the side.
Is there a person you know in real life who inspires you? Why?
My grandpa. He fought in Vietnam and later fought cancer for two years. He’s one of the stronges men I know, and I hope, pray and work hard so that I could be that strong some day. But sadly, he passed on Sept. 29 this year.
What is one of your favorite high school memories?
Performing our marching show, “The Hammer of Thor” at the University of Central Missouri as finalists.
Who is your most memorable school staff member? Why did you choose them?
My old band director Dr. Ley. She’s the person who got me to play the instrument I do.
What’s your favorite tradition at Staley?
Doing the “Staley Strong” chant after each halftime show or marching competition.
If you could add one new item to the school lunch menu, what would it be?
I don’t eat school lunches, but for the good of the people, I would add/bring back the meatball sub.

I was a member of the record breaking 400-freestyle relay team.

I’ve been to Greece and Turkey!

A teacher
What are your plans after graduating high school?
I plan to major in pre-dentistry at the University of Kansas while rowing with the KU women’s rowing team. I hope to continue my academics at UMKC School of Dentistry.
Is there a person you know in real life who inspires you? Why?
My mom. She pushes me to be a better person and doesn’t let me give up when things get tough. She helps me through my rough patches and always picks me up. She has worked so hard for everything she has and always makes sure I am not without. My mom is one of the strongest people I know.

Mrs. Parra. Since day one at Staley she’s been there for me. She’s definitely helped pave the way.

Going to the beach. As a kid, I would visit California every summer, but I never had the chance to actually go to one.

Study medicine at UMKC or pharmacy at St. John’s in New York.
Is there a person you know in real life who inspires you? Why?
My mom. She inspires me to keep working hard, and helps me not slack off. Anytime I think of her it makes me feel like I should get my life together so that I can get as successful as her.

Sophomore year Homecoming. It was my first time going with a large group of friends, and I had so much fun.

Mrs. Lawrence. She’s so passionate about what she does, and it’s really infectious.

Being a varsity athlete in two sports over my four years at Staley and having the opportunity to play baseball at the next level.

Go and play baseball for as long as I can or get a degree of some sort
Is there a person you know in real life who inspires you? Why?
I have two people who inspire me the most: my parents. They’ve both been there for me and taught me everything there is to know; they’ve also guided me through my whole baseball journey.
What is one of your favorite high school memories?
Traveling down to Arizona with the baseball team during spring break, just being able to hangout with them and play some great baseball.

Coach Adair because he’s been my running coach all four years and has believed in me throughout high school, and he is super nice and funny to talk to.

Go to a Division 1 school to major in Broadcast Journalism.
Is there a person you know in real life who inspires you? Why?
I would say my Poppi becasue he always has had a positive outlook on everything even if the odds are against him. He is full of wisdom and compassion and inspires me to never give up and always keep smiling.

Beating Mexico in overtime in the flag football International Championship with my best friends.

Mrs. Sobbe, because I have had her throughout all four years, and she has inspired me to pursue my future career in Broadcast Journalism.

Mrs. Rule. She is the absolute most encouraging positive woman to be around. She sparked my love for marketing and business. I had a whole career vision change freshman year because of her class.

I absolutely love FNL, the student section and the together, getting to be on the sidelines. I am a huge Emeralds and Diamonds fan, and I love love, love the drum line. It all comes together on Fridays. Best day of the week.

In the summer of 2025 I will be able to preform at Carnegie Hall, which has been on my bucket list for a while, and I can’t wait to cross it off!

What are your plans after graduating high school?
To attend a four-year college and Study Psychology with an emphasis in Special Education with minor in music and become a musical therapist.

My Aunt! She’s always so lovely to be around, and she always makes sure everyone’s having a good time! I always want to be like her and always laugh and smile. ( I love you Titi!)
What is one of your favorite high school memories?
One of my favorite high school memories was my freshman year Emerald City, being chose to be the only freshman girl soloist gave me the confidence to continue singing and it helped grow my love for choir!

The most memorable school staff member is 100% Coach Clawson! He always brought so much joy into the class even if what we were learning about wasn’t fun. I always go to him for advice, and he gives the best high fives!

What are your plans after graduating high school?
I will probably either be going to the Masters of Architecture and Design program at KU or MU’s School of Engineering.
Is there a person you know in real life who inspires you? Why?
I would have to say my parents. They are both very hardworking and do whatever they can to provide for both me and my sister. They continue to support me through anything that I do and teach me new things every day.
What is one of your favorite high school memories?
Any of the Friday night football games. I have experienced them both in the stands and on the field, and they are always really fun either way.

Mrs. Cox. I have had her as a teacher through all four years as a high school student, and she never fails to encourage and support her students with any decisions that they make. Her teaching style has really helped me grow as both a student and an artist.

Making my professional stage debut on the Starlight stage and having the opportunity to represent Staley in front of 8,000 people every night. An experience I’ll never forget.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be on the Disney Channel.
What are your plans after graduating high school?
I hope to go to college for a BFA in Musical Theatre, which is a very competitive audition-based program and hopefully getting the opportunity to be in lots of shows!
Is there a person you know in real life who inspires you? Why?
My mom is my biggest inspiration because she has taught me a lot about how to have a good heart, good character and a great sense of humor!

Junior Homecoming and getting nominated for a Starlight Blue Star Award!
Who is your most memorable school staff member? Why did you choose them?
Ms. Trebus. I have been working with her since I was 10 years old. She’s been a huge part of my high school experience, and she has always believed in me.
What’s your favorite tradition at Staley?
My favorite Staley tradition is the paint wars football game because I always have so much fun throwing paint on my friends. It may be a disaster to get out of my hair, but it’s worth it for the memories.

I got to go to Simone Biles’ home gym in Texas to compete in front of her and meet her puppy.
What is the best thing you’ve checked off your bucket list?
Going to New York City
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to compete for team USA gymnastics in the Olympics.
What are your plans after graduating high school?
I’m going to college to start earning my masters in Psychology and continue running track. I haven’t decided exactly where yet! Then be an early childhood counselor/therapist.
Is there a person you know in real life who inspires you? Why?
My older brother because he always puts 100% effort into everything he does and is the most encouraging and uplifting person I know.
What is one of your favorite high school memories?
Any track meet
Who is your most memorable school staff member? Why did you choose them?
Mrs. O’Day. She was always so kind to all of her students and really made an effort to learn who each and every one of them were.
