The Advanced Fashion Product Development class worked on designing three garments throughout the year, each with a different requirement (zipper, sleeves and elastic). For her third project, sophomore Michala Rose designed and created a two-piece set with sleeves and elastic.

“The process of making it was pretty difficult because it was something I’ve never made before,” Rose said. “I never had to make a real garment with sleeves, buttons and everything, so it was difficult, but my teacher helped me. She helped me figure things out, she helped me understand things and all that.”

Teacher Kristina Henton’s class worked on fashion projects throughout the year to help students learn skills for possible future careers.
