Growing Up Friends
Sisters Show Having Each Other iI What They Need
Sophomore Santanna Jordan has a family with all girls. Some would think this would be hard having three other sisters but not for Santanna. She said her sisters help her get through things most days.
“I am the youngest of four sisters, and my sisters are my best friends,” Santanna said.
She said she tells her sisters everything and has the best memories with them. They take her everywhere since she can’t drive, and she said they give her the best advice.
One of her favorite things to do with her sisters is to go to the lake with them.
“When we go to the lake we forget what’s happening back in KC,” Santanna said.
When Santanna is having a bad day or is in a fight with her best friend or boyfriend, her sisters are always there.
“My sister Sophia uses her past friendships to help me with mine,” Santanna said.
Sophia helps her a lot with advice about what’s the best thing to do.
“I am closest to Sophia; she is closest in age to me, ” Santanna said.
She and Sophia go out to breakfast Saturday mornings. Sophia is a sophomore in college at Northwest Missouri State University, and Santanna said she doesn’t want to go there like Sophia.
“My sister Samaria is the sister you can’t be serious around,” Santanna said.
Samaria is a kindergarten teacher in Smithville, Missouri, and loves her job. She said she and Santanna have a funny relationship. They argue then they get along the next second.
Santanna’s oldest sister is Breeanna, and she is a teacher in the North Kansas City School District.
“She is very quiet, and a hippy is what we call her,” Santanna said.
Breeanna is a very down to earth person but when she gets with her people she is loud and proud, Santanna said. Santanna and Breeanna love to tan and go shopping with each other.
All Santanna’s sisters are all so different but all help Santanna in different ways.
“They are always there for me no matter what” Santanna said.
Santanna said they have all helped shaper her into the person she is.
