Have a Crush Soda

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is doing their second fundraiser of the year. Their first fundraiser was holiday cake pops. Now they are doing a crush fundraiser just in time for Valentine’s Day. The theme is “Send a Crush to your crush.”

“You can put a label on a crush soda and have it delivered to someone, or you can buy them at lunch,” said president junior Katie Cangelose.

The Crushes will cost one dollar for one Crush soda.

“We wanted to think of a fundraiser that tied in with Valentines Day, and one of our sponsors had done a similar fundraiser in high school so we thought it was a good idea,” said vice president junior Antonia Reek.

The fundraiser will be held the week before Valentines Day with the option of having the soda delivered on Valentines Day or buying one directly at lunch.

We are trying to raise money for STAR events, which are competitions for specific areas in FACS,” said sponsor Christian Carter. “ The money also helps with materials for our community service projects.”

FCCLA will be doing a prom dress drive before prom and are brainstorming ideas for later community service projects
